The Palestinians And Israeli Conflict Part 4

In World War I, the British enlisted the help of Arabs in order to defeat the Ottoman Empire, which was in allegiance with Germany and in control of Palestine, at that time. For their assistance, Britain promised the Arabs control of all of the Arabs lands. But Britain also received help from their Jewish allies. Perhaps the one man most responsible for the existence of Israel today is Dr. Chaim Weizmann. He was a scientist, the leader of the Zionists (those who seek to re-establish Israel as a state) for 30 years and the first President of the State of Israel. At the age of 30, he moved to Great Britain. There he presented the British government with an invention in which he used corn to produce acetone, a solvent used in making explosives. The British used his new invention to defeat Germany in World War I. In exchange for Weizmann’s help, Britain promised to fulfill the Zionist agenda and give the Jews a homeland. British Prime Minister Arthur Balfour initially wanted Uganda to be the Jewish homeland, but it was Weizmann who convinced Balfour to give Palestine to the Jews.

So Britain gave the Arabs some land and at the same time took Arabs land in Palestine and gave it to the Jews, disregarding the Palestinians who already lived there. We must remember that Jews were already living in Palestine and they, like the Palestinians, were living under Muslim rule by the Ottoman Empire. The Muslims and Jews were living in complete harmony under this Muslim rule, thus nullifying the accusation that Muslims and Jews are inherent enemies. And if Balfour was without influence from Weizmann, there would be no Arab-Israeli conflict. Undoubtedly there would be a Ugandan-Israeli conflict. But the Promised Land, or Zion, described in the Jewish Torah is what the Zionists were looking for.

Though many Israelis use the Jewish Torah to substantial their claim to the land, it is in fact a violation of the laws of the Torah to establish and maintain the land using military and financial aid from any other country. They are ordered not to borrow from any other country (Deut. 15:6), especially those countries which they deem as having any God beside the God of Israel, for example Christian nations which recognize Jesus as God.
